Tax Protest August, 27, 2009

On Thursday, August 27, 2009 a tax protest was organized at three (3) different locations in Miami.  There was signiicant coverage of this event by both english and spanish media.

We are a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization concerned with property tax reform.  We want to save the American dream.  We feel that by being united we can change a system that is not working and has been responsible for precipitating a major crisis in the State of Florida with the very real fear of people losing their homes and businesses.  Many people are choosing to leave Florida altogether throwing in the white towel and conceding defeat.  The mood is gloomy and pessimistic.  The economy, including the real-estate market, is in a deep, dark recession.  Conversely oil and food prices continue to rise with what appears to be no end in sight.

If you haven't done so already, you should obtain one of our bumper stickers and place it on your car immediately.  Our bumper sticker is a symbol of unity.  After that, you should dowload the petition and email it to your family and friends asking them to do the same.  Then sign the petition and return it to us.  Last but not least carefully read everything on this website and continue to revisit us since we are constantly adding new information.

Be aware that unfortunately we continue to receive news that comes in late, lacks in continuity, is fragmented and adulterated so that it may continue to achieve its main purpose which is permanent confusion.  If People become sufficiently confused they become disinterested and feel that there is nothing that they can do.          

Miami Dade County Government is out of control.   In raising our taxes in this unprecedented manner, our families have been affected and our homes invaded.  Only we the citizens can reverse this situation by truly becoming involved.  Otherwise we will have to either move or continue to pay for a bloated, intrusive and inefficient bureaucracy.

This is not about not raising taxes; this is about pushing for a 35% reduction in county expenditures and in turn OUR PROPERTY TAXES.

Call and or email the following Commissioners NOW:  Tell them you have had enough of this abuse.  Tell them that you are AGAINST any new taxes. Tell them that you are holding them personally responsible for any further taxes increases.
